We are delighted to announce our very first BASIC ambassador, Heidi Biggin. 

Heidi is a highly respected community leader within the disability and accessibility space, including many years of lived experience. Heidi became legally blind as a result of a neurological disorder in her early 20’s and has worked tirelessly to affect change in the community as a Disability and Accessibility advocate.  Heidi is well known in the region, together with her guide dog Freya they work with community groups and can often be heard on 3BA discussing all things disability, accessibility and inclusion. 

Heidi is the mother of twin boys and is currently expecting her 3^rd child.  Navigating the world with twins, a pram and a guide dog is going to be challenge. BASIC are thrilled to have Heidi as an ambassador to promote the movement, share her lived experiences and help us advocate for positive change.
